Conservation volunteering is a great way to get close to nature, keep fit and learn new skills!
Our volunteer sessions are held on the last Sunday of each month
Time: 10am - 12, meet at the notice board opposite the car park.
No experience required. We will usually have tasks for all abilities.
Gloves & tools are provided. Just dress for the weather with sturdy, waterproof footwear.
Age 15yrs and up
NEXT VOLUNTEER SESSION: SUNDAY 26th NOVEMBER 2023
Possible tasks for November will include cutting back rhododendron regrowth, planting native tree saplings and cutting back
invasive sycamore seedlings. There will also be plenty of dead vegetation to tidy up around the paths. It's amazing how
much work can be achieved by an enthusiastic group of volunteers - and it's good fun too.
Do come and join us - or just give us a wave if you are passing!
YOUNG RANGER GROUP
For young people aged 13-18, the South Ayrshire Ranger Service provide a great opportunity to learn about
conservation and develop basic bushcraft skills. Their sessions are held on the same date & time as ours.
Booking is essential - contact them on their Facebook page here
